Ideas & feedback

Send a note

Something confusing, a setting you need, a report you'd want. It goes straight to the person building it — early merchants shape what gets made next.

There is no phone line and no live chat — a solo operation that promised either would be lying.

Security

Report a security issue

Found a vulnerability in StatementClerk or on this site? Email security@croppick.com — the security contact for every MB Croppick product, also published in /.well-known/security.txt. You will get an acknowledgement within three business days and a fix or an explanation as soon as we have one.

Please give us time to fix the problem before publishing it, and keep any merchant or customer data you may have come across to the minimum needed to demonstrate the issue. Good-faith research reported this way will not face legal action from MB Croppick.

Frequently asked

Does StatementClerk collect payments?

No. It is read-only on money. Statements carry your payment instructions — bank details, or "pay by card from the invoice link in your order email" — and customers pay you the way they always have.

What if a customer paid by bank transfer?

Shopify shows the order as unpaid until someone marks it paid. If a company has overdue items and has paid off-platform before, the app holds that company's statement and gives you a direct link to mark the order as paid in Shopify first. Nothing wrong is ever sent.

Will the numbers match Shopify?

Yes. A statement is pure arithmetic over Shopify's own orders, payments and refunds. The app checks that opening + invoiced − paid = closing on every statement, that the days-past-due buckets sum to the same figure, and it re-reads every open order from Shopify right before sending. If anything disagrees, the statement is held with the reason.

Do I have to review every cycle?

Only the first, unless you want to. Statements land in a review queue; after a clean cycle you can switch to autopilot. Anything uncertain — a possible off-platform payment, numbers that changed, a bounced address — is still held and explained.

Is this the same as a statement of account?

Yes. Statement of account, customer statement, account statement, monthly statement — bookkeepers use all four for the same document: a periodic summary of one customer's account with you, listing the opening balance, the invoices and payments of the period, the closing balance and every open invoice. StatementClerk produces that document from your Shopify B2B orders and emails it on your schedule.

What does the statement look like?

Your logo and accent colour, your remit-to details, the period, an opening balance carried from the last statement, every invoice, payment and refund of the period with a running balance, every open invoice with what is left to pay and days past due, and your payment instructions. StatementClerk appears only as a small "sent with" line. It prints in black and white on A4 and Letter.

What happens to a refund on an old order?

It appears on the next statement as a labelled line — "Correction relating to a prior period (ref #1029)" — so the opening balance never silently changes. The trail is always visible.

Is there a free plan?

Yes: Free covers up to 5 companies with every feature. Pro is $24 a month with no company limit and a 14-day trial, billed through Shopify. If you have more than 5 companies on Free, the extra companies' statements are held, never dropped, until you upgrade.

Where is my data stored, and what happens if I uninstall?

On Cloudflare's platform, in the Eastern Europe region. StatementClerk stores company names, a ledger of order references, amounts and dates, the statements it built and their PDFs — never your customers' email addresses or names; the billing contact is read from Shopify at send time and not kept.

Uninstalling revokes access immediately; about 48 hours later Shopify sends the standard deletion signal and everything is erased.
